Question by Joe B: Can you advocate a cell phone without GPS tracking capability, I do not want the government knowing anything?
They passed some act in 2005 that stated 95% of cell phones must have GPS tracking. This means 5% do not, I want to find a phone in that 5%. I do not like the concept the government being able to track my where abouts whenever they feel like it, which they pretty much can do.
Anyone have any knowledge on American phone models that fall in that 5th percent?

Any cell phone that has a signal can be tracked, even if it’s not exactly intended to be used as GPS. Your phone has to use the cell towers to get a signal to call out.

A tracking device? A person who is not in law enforcement? I was told this day by somebody that they have put one on my car and I was wondering if I should call the police on him. He used to be a police officer a long time ago but not anymore. It’s kind of freaking me out.

is there such a product that you could sweep a automobile and it would tell you if theres a gps tracking system of any kind on a automobile for example girlfriends ceazy ex boyfriend keeps popping up wherever we go and i think he might have put one on her automobile but i cant find it with my eyes and hands is there anything that can help me locate it on her automobile please help this guys nuts an he might do somethiong horrible someday to us please anyone with any info

I myself have no problem with it, like the article states it is really no different than a police officer trailing you. If you are not guilty of doing something criminal I do not see how it could bother you because who cares where I go? I do not really see this being abused since police have to manually monitor you so it is not like they will begin putting them on each automobile in the neighborhood, only the ones they suspect. From what I seen they have already prevent a lot of crime and saved a couple of lives.
I will state that any officer caught using this for personal use like tracking their spouse bf/gf should be fined and possibly terminated.
