Nextel gps tracking for small commercial trucking fleet?
I am looking for an low-cost answer to be ready to track and find a modest fleet of trucks. We have Nextel i355 phones which I believe are GPS-enabled. We’d like to be ready to locate and verify a truck’s area via the internet. We do not require any capability to present directions to the driver.

Any recommendations for me? Ought to I in addition post this message on a logistics board?

it all depends on how significantly money you want to invest, I have a feeling Nextel will be the most sensible but if you do some investigation on the internet and from the companies you can uncover out far more data as to what will function for your spending budget.

I know you can track cars on GPS but is there such a thing that allows you to pinpoint the exact location of a small item?

You can get basically RFID things you can pinpoint to a few feet, maybe less. You would use a reader to find them.
