Question by e3z8q0:
Help! really should I take my auto from my boyfriend?
My boyfriend has been trying to get my second automobile from me. He paid me 1500 down three months ago and hasn’t paid any a lot more since. He want call me and he texts me only saying that he has component of the income and will get the rest by the 10th of the month. I don’t know if I need to trust him anymore. The vehicle is in my name and he wrote a bill of sale and payment plan. He has broken his very own contract and he is very late paying me and he is avoiding me. I just want to speak to him in person. I asked him to bring the auto to place new insurance coverage on it and he just texted me about it but he has created any time to come up and take care of it. I am praying that absolutely nothing happens to the automobile. It is an 06 Charger and its rather nice. He smokes weed in it so now it smells like weed. Can i just take the automobile from him and not give him back any funds? He stated I would hath to give him back 1500 if I take it. He has been driving the car for 3 months and hasn’t paid insurance coverage and is two months late paying. The original auto note is 421.00 and 125.00 for insurance coverage. I also have a GPS tracking on the auto I was pondering about turning the car off and discovering out exactly where it is.

Question by _______:
Do you assume the FBI really should be able to place a tracking device on your car with out a warrant?
Basically a guy dropped his vehicle off to get an oil change. The mechanic looking at his auto identified a “strange magnetic device”. Turns out it was a tracking device place on the automobile by the FBI without having a warrant.

NOW, the FBI is saying they require to be able to do this. (apparently due to the fact really following an individual and getting a warrant from a judge based on probable lead to is just too considerably of a hassle nowadays). The Obama administration agrees and claims a court ruling that discovered the FBI need to have to get a warrant just before putting a digital tracking device on someone’s vehicle was “vague and unworkable” (wtf?).

Does not it appear like George W. Bush is nevertheless the president?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101016/ap_on_re_us/us_gps_tracking_warrants#mwpphu-container

SAN FRANCISCO – Yasir Afifi, a 20-year-old computer salesman and community school student, took his auto in for an oil change earlier this month and his mechanic spotted an odd wire hanging from the undercarriage.

The wire was attached to a strange magnetic device that puzzled Afifi and the mechanic. They freed it from the vehicle and posted pictures of it on the internet, asking for aid in identifying it.

Two days later, FBI agents arrived at Afifi’s Santa Clara apartment and demanded the return of their property — a international positioning method tracking device now at the center of a raging legal debate more than privacy rights.

A single federal judge wrote that the widespread use of the device was straight out of George Orwell’s novel, “1984″………………………The federal appeals court based in Washington D.C. stated in August that investigators must get a warrant for GPS in tossing out the conviction and life sentence of Antoine Jones, a nightclub owner convicted of operating a cocaine distribution ring. That court concluded that the accumulation of four-weeks worth of information collected from a GPS on Jones’ Jeep amounted to a government “search” that required a search warrant……………………..The Obama administration final month asked the D.C. federal appeals court to alter its ruling, calling the selection “vague and unworkable” and arguing that investigators will lose access to a tool they now use “with fantastic frequency.”

——————————————

Answer by Destiny
Nope

Answer by Interest: Testicles That Is All
Hell no.

Answer by MATT
That would creep me out, but isn’t that kid the son of a man who became a martyr for the Muslim extremists lead to? There is more to this story of who that kid is and where he is from. Yahoo is leaving that out. They ought to have gotten a warrant to track him. This wouldn’t be an issue if they did.

——————————————

Question by Paths:
Should i report a stolen GPS and MP3 player from my CAR?
Today i found that my GPS and my MP3 , which i left in the car , stolen. Should i report it to some authority. I am in washington state. Is there a way my GPS can be tracked.
Another questions, How should i report now, should i call 911 or go to a police station, Can i report it online

——————————————

Answer by Stuart
If you have been the victim of a crime, call the police.

- Stuart

Answer by raviet31
I don’t know if they can track your GPS. However, you should report the crime. First, if you intend to file an insurance claim you will need the police report. Second, if they do recover your items, how will they know who it belongs to? Third, police use statistics of crime to improve patrols and to request more resources. Fourth, it’s possible that this guy stole from other people and they may have a subject in custody or in mind. Adding your theft to it might help catch the guy, maybe even put him in prison.

Answer by Big One 0909
A long time ago, I worked at Sears in the credit dept. I used to take stolen credit card reports and would always ask for a police rept no.
” but I did not call the police” they would say. I would advise that they should. they would invariably ask What can they do? My reply was always the same “Absolutely nothing if you do not tell them” You never know that maybe your report is the piece of the puzzle they need to get the perpetrator.

I do not know if a gps device can be located by the satellite. it would depend on weather the device does any transmitting of it’s own or is just a receiver. I know some can like on-star maybe they all can, but only if they are turned on.

——————————————

Question by turbodog:
GPS tracking of a teen by their cell phone. What service should i use?
I am interested in signing up for one of these services that allows you to track where a child goes by using the gps in a cell phone. After a little internet research, im overwhelmed by the number of services and dont know which one would be right for me. So i thought i`d ask other who may have used or be using these services for a recommendation. Which do you use? Do you like it? Would you change to another? Which one works best for you?
oh, and to the person who said “thats jacked up” You have to realise that if a child doesnt lie about where they go, and doesnt go places or do things tha they shouldnt be doing, then this isnt a problem is it? The only reason you might be upset by your parents doing this is if you were doing something that you knew you shouldnt be doing and you`re just upset that its so easy to get caught by cell phone gps

Question by Classic Bob:
Should I place a GPS tracking device on my wife’s car?
So me and the neighbor girl were getting our bump and grind on when my wife comes home from work early. I don’t know why she have the decency to at least call first, but none-the-less we were quite surprised. Not knowing what to do I jumped up off the couch and smacked my wife on the azz and said, “You’re next, fatty!”

Shouldn’t she have had the decency to let me know if she wasn’t going to be gone all day?

Answer by Lost in the Sea of Life
Yo, you sound like a nightmare but i say go ahead but only if she can put one on yours.
