Answer by theghost1@rocketmail.com
The telephone really should be disabled. Forget tracking it, ATT will not bother. Sad but at least the piece of crap can not use the telephone.

Answer by spoonyl
you cant track it, thats the thing with sim card phones you can easily switch the sim cards. Your amount will not be attached to the cellphone specially if the sim card is taken out but you contacts would be on it.

Answer by Wayne S
call thenumber & see.

Answer by Desert Dust
No it is not possible. GPSr units are just receivers, they do not send out any kind of signal.

Answer by wires
A GPS receiver is just a receiver. You can’t track it down any more than you could track down your car radio, also a receiver, if it got stolen. Your best bet is to remove the GPS unit when your not driving the car. Take it out and put it in the trunk where it’s not visible at least.

Answer by Karen
Why didn’t you set up the automobile recovery computer software on your personal computer. It makes it possible for you to wipe details and to send messages, oh and far better nevertheless if it is turned on. The police can arrest the sob that stole it.

Ultimately, why didn’t you discover the 1st time not to leave it in the vehicle. Just sayin.

Answer by Mike P
I am sorry to say that you will not be in a position to track you GPS. A GPS is a passive device that only receives info and does not transmit anything, hence there is nothing to track. Hope you had it insured. When you get prepared to obtain a new one particular examine out http://www.the-portable-gps.com/ wherever you will find comparison charts comparing the functions of the a variety of models on the market place along with owner reviews of each and every unit. Numerous GPS units have a locking attribute making the worthless to the thief. Regrettably this won’t prevent it from getting stolen. Sorry for you loss.

Question by tjnw79:
Tracking down a automobile?
I have a car my buddy is at present driving. I want to know if there are any devise I can spot in the vehicle so I know exactly where it is at all time. (Like the GPS in the engine in the movie ” The fast and the Furious two” or what ever) I want it so my buddy doesn’t know I have placed it in the car, but I can track it from a computer when ever I want. Sneeky I know but I don’t want to be burned by this massive mess. Where can I get 1 and how significantly does it cost?

——————————————

Answer by Eric M
Its referred to as a lojack. most cars have it so you can examine what speed you have been going. plus if the the auto is stolen police will have it on radar.
you can acquire a tracker for the lojack.
Expense varys based where boought.

Question by Jesika:
Scenario question: Can a car go 0-63 MPH back down to 45 MPH in 30 sec and it be done in 1/4 of a mile?
Here is what is not in the dispute:
1. The car had GPS tracking that logs every 30 seconds
a. first log was at a stop sign that showed the car was stopped
b. second log was at 30 seconds where it showed the car going 45 miles an hour
c.The GPS recoded the distance between the two points and its exactly 1/4 of a mile.

What is in the dispute
1. Police officer gave the client a ticket for going 63 in a 45 zone.

You must answer these questions:
1. Is it possible to get from 0-63 and back to 45 MPH in 30 seconds?
2. Can these actions be done in exactly 1/4 of a mile?

Use accleration formulas : Accleration= change in velocity/change in time
x(t)=1/2at^2 +vot+xo which is the position of something given the accleration, initial velocity, and intial position.
v(t)=at +vo which is the velocity of something at time t g iven the acceration

——————————————

Answer by G
Yes both 1. and 2. are absolutely possible….here is the probable scenario:

Accelerate the car from the stop for 23 sec to reach 63MPH…. and then brake and deaccelrate for 7 sec to reach 45 MPH in a total of 1/4 of a mile…

you can do the calc and verify this… or mail me… if you need a detailed solution…

——————————————

Question by spazzerz9796:
Do you need GPS on your phone in order to track it down?
Well I lost my phone at school on a Friday so I looked everywhere at home just in case and I can’t find it. So I was going to call T-mobile to see if they could track it down. But I have Sidekick Slide that doesn’t have GPS… And I wanted to know if they would still be able to track down without it having GPS before I called.

——————————————

Answer by THE UNCOOL 1
No you don’t have to have GPS, but the tracking software needed to be installed & activated before the phone was lost…

Question by ¢utiε♥:
GPS Cell Phone Tracking…How can I track down my cell phone?
My mom got me a cellphone for my birthday 26 days ago. It cost 300 dollars. Me and my friend walked to Sub Way today and when we got home, I noticed that I didn’t have my cell phone. I walked back and forth from Sub Way to my house 5 times! I didn’t find it. I’m so sad because I feel like I wasted my moms money and my mom isn’t getting me another cell phone! I’ve been crying non stop since this happened this afternoon. How can I track down my cell phone with a GPS? I am willing to give my number if someone else can do it for me.

I have a car my friend is currently driving. I want to know if there are any devise I can place in the car so I know where it is at all time. (Like the GPS in the engine in the movie ” The fast and the Furious 2″ or what ever) I want it so my friend doesn’t know I have placed it in the car, but I can track it from a computer when ever I want. Sneeky I know but I don’t want to be burned by this huge mess. Where can I get one and how much does it cost?
