I believe that right now only sprint/motorola/nextel/boost mobile has this service in the USA unlike some European countries that offer the service to any phone. With sprint /motorola with must pay for the plan which is around . With this service you can track a cell phone through a Computer or another cell phone. If he pays your bill, it’s his phone that he is tracking so yes it is. You can always purchase your own phone and pay your own bill and then there would be no way for your father to track it. If you have nothing to hide, do not worry about it, if you do – I would really recommend the paying your own way option.

AFter waiting weeks for mine to arrive and paying nearly 0, I cannot get GEMINI (who sells gps tracking phones through many sites, like childsafetytech.com) to even call me back about either replacing the broken phone delivered to me, or giving me a refund.
They stated they have never “heard” of the product arriving broken to a customer and will have to “look into it” before they tell me anything: meanwhile I am out nearly 0 and I got this for my youngest daughter. SInce kids are being abducted, this was a peace of mind for us.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get this company’s LACK of support out to other parents who are getting suckered?

Contact the Superior Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs and if you paid with a credit card you could call your credit card company and have them reverse/dispute the charge.

I need a easy phone with not much for extras for a 10 year old. And it must have GPS tracking locator. And of course a new service. Anyone with any ideas ?

Verizon calls it the Mego phone. Very dependable and sturdy for a youngster. And you add the phone for a month as you need to keep track of the kid, just hit some buttons
