what materials can i use to interrupt the gps tracking signal on my car?

my utilised town vehicle has a gps tracking program on it that the person i purchased it from installed. for some odd cause he wont inform me exactly where it is. so i took it to a physique store and they told me exactly where the antenna is but the cant find exactly where the gps trackers brain is. they told me it would be ideal to just cut the antenna. the issue is i want to be able to use the antenna when i park my car somewhere im not familiar with. so i just want to be able to turn it off and on. so they told me to discover a materials that can interrupt the signal. can any person help????

This query genuinely does not make sense. Initial, if an individual can discover the antenna, it is just a matter of following the antenna cable to the GPS engine?
If this is a tracking system, then parking your car somewhere that you are not familiar with will not assist you at all, I guess unless of course you have the computer software for the gadget and carry a laptop all around with you that is capable of receiving the transmission? It would be a lot less difficult in this case if you do truly have a GPS engine on the automobile is to locate it (stick to the antenna lead or the unit would have to have energy) and put in a switch to turn it on or off
