Can you fool a Nextel GPS tracking phone?

Can you fool a Nextel GPS tracking cellphone?
The boss added gps to the nextel cellphone I use at function, is there a way to fool or mask the place aside from taking the battery out. If you are out of the mobile phone service location can they nevertheless track you? I guess they can since they use satillites to gps you and cell towers for talk but can you fool the sats?

The GPS in the Mobile phone doesnt tell your boss where u are it just tells u your area and if u are in the appropriate direction to your destination if u so inform it your location
