How far can a gps track a car?
My car dealer has the power to disable cars that have late payments.
I purchased the car in Nashville, TN and I am in Atlanta Ga. I just need a few more days to make the payment that’s why I need to BUY time, literally. How far can I be tracked and disabled?

oh yeah this happened to me too. i bought my car in melbourne, victoria in australia and drove all the way to perth, western australia. on google it says it can reach up to 2,000km. hope this helps and hope they dont disable your car

LMAO….DO YOU KNOW WHAT “GPS” STANDS FOR? Global Positioning System!!! That means that even if you are 5000 miles from where you purchased the GPS, you can be traced and disabled..It’s the same as a cellphone. You will not escape the company just by moving your vehicle miles and miles away. They can track you in CHINA!!!!

You need to put the car in a Farraday cage- look that up in google. It will block radio signals. Next best is a structure like an underground garage where you cannot get radios to work. GPS covers the world. Whether they disable it or you hide it, you’ll still be unable to use the car.
Maybe it would be better for you to call them and tell them you need a few days extra time. If you play it slick and you need to work out a deal, you’re not going to earn any trust. If you just be upfront, you stand better chances.

gps will pick you up anywhere but if you can block the sensor it may disable car then and there. dealer in dayton ohio was using this or similar device few years back but was convinced to stop because if car shut down in wrong place could cause accident or injury.dont know if anything has changed or not.

they wont shut your car off do to a couple of days late but then again Ive never herd of company’s doing that for the simple fact it cost money to have the ability to do that and not a one time charge its a every month charge i have no idea what it cost but to have “low jack” on my doberman cost about 30 bucks a month so i’m guessin its gunna cost more than that
