car tracking without using GPS.?
Is there any way I can trace my car position on my computer screen at home?. For example, while I’m driving on the road, Is there any way my family members can see my car position moving in real time on Google maps. If yes what sort of hardware or softwares required. I would appreciate any pointer or help. Thanks in advance.I DO NOT HAVE GPS in the car…

a very cheap way of doing this is to buy a cheap pay as u go mobile phone, and register the number with a tracking website. hide the phone somewhere in your car such as behind the dashboard or in the spare wheel well. if u use the dashboard, u can hard wire a power source for it, but whatever, just remember to charge it up every couple of days.

i think it costs around £1.50 per search, which is alot cheaper than having GPS installed and can be useful if your car is stolen or you want to know where someone is (kids borrowing the car etc)
