Is it easy to locate a stolen GPS system.?
Is there away to trace a gps tracking system if it was stolen from car. I am not sure the brand, but its probably Tomtom, Magellen, or Garmin.
My friend was playing Halo, his other friend was borrowing a GPS system to go on a trip. His car was parke right outside my friends apartment and about two hours after playing Halo, his car had been broken into and the gps he was borrowing was stolen. Is there away to tlocate one that is stolen, if its is being used. If the owner kept papers on it, if it was to be soled can it be traced back to the owner.

Im not sure, but, if you were to get a code that was on the gps than you could get the company to track it down. Its worth a shot, the code could be in the box also.

yes but you need the serial or something that the ppolice can trace and it must be one of the gps types that can contact the police in-case of an emergency or accident.

No you can’t. GPS navigation systems are just receivers, they don’t transmit anything. There is no way to track such a system.
It would be different if you had a GPS tracking device, which is normally just a small box that you can attach somewhere to the car, without display. Those have some kind of transmitter, using the cellular network or other networks.
