My mom put a GPS in my car, can she see where I go?
I was wondering if she could see where I am going online through her GPS. If there is a website you go to to see the car or somthing?
would just unplugging it stop it from tracking?

GPS is a device that receives signals from a satellite. A GPS transmitter is a device used to transmit your position to an external source such as a cell phone transmits its location to the towers to be able to call out on the various networks. So if she just has a GPS than it only recieves a signal to position your self withing what ever accuracy the GPS has in either one of those touch screen maps or any device that can translate your position than no she can’t track you. But if your vehicle has a GPS transmitter like most new vehicles do than yes she can track you, some companies offer the service but with some software and a cell phone number is easy to do it a very very low cost, your self avoiding the 24dollar plus fee a month. What rout your mom has gone I don’t know, If she is computer savvy than she might have her own tracking on the vehicle, if not find out what company she is paying and you can access it via internet. I mean for as low as 1cent you can track each movement of the vehicle within 30 feet or 10meters.

yes she can track you real time anytime on the net and depending on the system she installed if disconnected it could prevent the car from being started
which mean you won’t be going any where she can track you within 15 feet depending on the system and some of those gps systems also has a speaker that she can listen in on who ever is in the car that way if you have a restricted license like no passengers and tell her you didn’t have passengers she could play the tape to you that would get you in trouble also some systems she could log on to a net page and disable the car from starting and if you just UN plug it
mom is going to know this because it won’t track anything and if that is a condition of driving a car for mom she can take your car away and the bus will be your new transportation when i loaned out my BMW to my daughter
she swore up and down she wouldn’t have passengers and would use it just for school that was a lie she was at a party drinking and driving i hit a button car died and rolled to a stop she told me that she was at school in the parking lot i had to inform her of her actually location and that the car also has a speaker so i can hear you with your friends taking about getting more beer
guess what she now rides the bus daddy don’t play games.

Matt F, if you were my son and did that to your mother I would lay you out. The guy with the beemer thinks he don’t play game, I actually dare mine to try to screw with me. My daughters are not allowed to date until I am dead, only the good die young, I will live forever.
But, you obviously have done something that your mother does not trust you at all. Either that or she doesn’t want you getting lost. I love my GPS. My kids will never driver my G35.
