Only 2 ways to track a car.
1 : Radio transmitter that is tracked by special receivers that triangulate location. Such as those used in teh “tracker” system used to recover stolen (protected) vehicles in the UK
2: GPS locator built into car that if activated (if used for theft protection) or constantly (such as for security van tracking) transmits a GPS location to nearest base station which forwards info to owner / tracking firm
Car’s in car “computer” cannot do it. It’s really only an engine management system,
