GPS or Camera on Kids Car?
How many parents of teenagers out there have put, or would consider putting, safety/security devices such as GPS tracking or cameras on their kids cars? Not just for theft issues, but if you worry that your kid is going somewhere other than where they say, is texting while driving, and other safety concerns, would you go to these measures to protect them?
Stolen Blackberry Bold 9000 phone tracking?
BACKGROUND Well I had a Blackberry Bold 9000 laying around since I got an iPhone.(cause blackberry data plans cost a lot) And my good-friend asked to borrow the phone for awhile.I thought about it and finally decided to let him borrow it. After a month, I ask for my blackberry back, and it turns out that my good friend traded it to one of my ok-friends for an x-box. So then I ask my ok-friend for the phone, and he claims that someone has stolen it.(I believe someone stole it, or he’s lying to keep the phone) Since someone stole the phone, he said he will give me the x-box, but i rather prefer the phone because it cost me way more than a cheap x-box.
As of right now I know, my ok-friend has canceled his old phone number and got a new phone with the same number as before.
QUESTION / SITUATION My blackberry bold had GPS capabilities, but I never set it up cause it cost too much. I was wondering if I could somehow track the phone through GPS and AT&T even though I didn’t set up the GPS, and there’s no working sim card in the phone. If so how, and how much would it cost? If not, do you have any other suggestions for finding the phone?
Parents only…Is GPS tracking a good idea for teens?
Wouls you install a GPS tracking devise in your teens car? They are easy and cheap to get now (about $60 for the cheapest ones). They can monitor speed and text you if the driver leaves certain pre-set barriers.
Soooo….would you install one in your teens car, or is this more of a trust issue?
If you would install one, would you tell them about it? i think that it would allow the teen more freedom, because parents would let them do more stuff than normal because the parents can monitor them if needed.

GPS Cell Phone Tracking…How can I track down my cell phone?
My mom got me a cellphone for my birthday 26 days ago. It cost 300 dollars. Me and my friend walked to Sub Way today and when we got home, I noticed that I didn’t have my cell phone. I walked back and forth from Sub Way to my house 5 times! I didn’t find it. I’m so sad because I feel like I wasted my moms money and my mom isn’t getting me another cell phone! I’ve been crying non stop since this happened this afternoon. How can I track down my cell phone with a GPS? I am willing to give my number if someone else can do it for me.
Can an RF detector pick up if someone has installed a hidden gps device on your car?
I’m thinking I am being followed or at least each of my moves and activities are. Can someone help me with this question about trying to find out if I’m being tracked by a GPS device? Thank you….
